Gauteng's U15 football team has won the 2026 National School Winter Games title after an unbeaten campaign in the Eastern Cape. The final ended 3-2 against KwaZulu-Natal, following a 5-0 semi-final win over the Western Cape.
Midrand Reporter said the tournament was held in KuGompo from 11 to 13 July and brought together more than 1,337 athletes from all nine provinces. Gauteng travelled with a 269-member delegation across football, hockey, volleyball and rugby.
