Khulile Primary School in Motherwell has received a new artificial intelligence, coding and robotics centre valued at R2.2 million. The facility was handed over during a Mandela Month event involving Isuzu Motors South Africa and the Sifiso Learning Group.
The centre is intended to help learners build practical technology skills while supporting teachers with specialised training. Basic Education Deputy Minister Reginah Mhaule joined education officials, local leaders and the school community for the handover.
The project forms part of a wider effort to strengthen coding and robotics learning in primary schools. The local report also noted that Khulile's literacy programme had recorded improvement in Grade 3 and Grade 4 results, giving the school a platform to connect stronger literacy foundations with new digital opportunities.
