What this role involves
This is a classroom teaching post focused on Mathematics, Grades 10, 11, 12, 8, 9. You will plan and teach lessons, assess and record learner progress, support learners who need intervention, manage the classroom and contribute to the wider life of the school.
- Plan, prepare and teach Mathematics, Grades 10, 11, 12, 8, 9 in line with the applicable IEB requirements.
- Assess learners, record results and use progress information to guide support and next steps.
- Create a purposeful, well-managed classroom and provide appropriate learner support.
- Complete the academic and administrative records connected to your classes and subjects.
- Take part in school, professional-development and relevant extra- or co-curricular activities.
Curriculum and teaching
IEB and teaching focus
- Teaching focus: Mathematics, Grades 10, 11, 12, 8, 9.
- Plan teaching, pacing and assessment against the applicable IEB requirements.
- Grades covered by the post: 10, 11, 12, 8, 9.
- For Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy, expect structured problem-solving, clear conceptual development, regular practice, formal assessment and targeted support based on learner performance.

Qualifications
Relevant BSc degree in Mathematics plus PGCE or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Experience
Minimum 3–5 years teaching Mathematics in Grades 8–12; IEB curriculum experience required.
SACE requirement
SACE certificate required.
