What this role involves
This is a classroom teaching post focused on Afrikaans, Foundation. You will plan and teach lessons, assess and record learner progress, support learners who need intervention, manage the classroom and contribute to the wider life of the school.
- Plan, prepare and teach Afrikaans, Foundation in line with the applicable curriculum requirements.
- Assess learners, record results and use progress information to guide support and next steps.
- Create a purposeful, well-managed classroom and provide appropriate learner support.
- Complete the academic and administrative records connected to your classes and subjects.
- Take part in school, professional-development and relevant extra- or co-curricular activities.

Qualifications
Appropriate university degree or professional teaching qualification.
Experience
Minimum 3–5 years teaching Afrikaans at Foundation Phase level; Grade 4 or Grade 5 experience is advantageous.
SACE requirement
SACE registration required.
