What this role involves
This is the professional leadership role for the school. You will lead teaching and learning, staff and learner management, school administration, governance implementation, resources and accountability, while ensuring the school operates in line with education policy and promotes strong learner outcomes.
- Provide the professional management and instructional leadership of the school.
- Lead curriculum implementation, teaching quality, assessment performance and learner-support improvement work.
- Manage and develop staff, allocate responsibilities and build an effective school management team.
- Oversee learner administration, discipline, welfare, attendance and a safe, orderly school environment.
- Manage school administration, resources, records and financial-accountability responsibilities that fall within the principal's role.
- Work with the school governing body, parents, district officials and community while implementing applicable education policy.

Qualifications
Appropriate degree in Education.
Experience
Proven senior leadership experience in an educational setting; independent or girls-school experience preferred.
SACE requirement
