What this role involves
This is a specialist educator post focused on Information Technology, Grades 10, 11, 12, 8, 9. The role combines specialist teaching or support with assessment, learner progress monitoring, professional collaboration and the school duties attached to the post.
- Carry out the teaching, learner-support and administrative responsibilities attached to the post.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to the school's academic and professional programmes.
- Work collaboratively with school management, colleagues, learners and parents.
Curriculum and teaching
IEB and teaching focus
- Teaching focus: Information Technology, Grades 10, 11, 12, 8, 9.
- Plan teaching, pacing and assessment against the applicable IEB requirements.
- Grades covered by the post: 10, 11, 12, 8, 9.
- For technical or digital subjects, expect substantial practical application, problem-solving, correct technical conventions, safe use of equipment and assessment of both knowledge and practical competence.
- Support should help learners participate in and progress through the curriculum, with teaching and assessment adjusted appropriately to identified support needs.

Qualifications
BEd FET/GET or a relevant degree plus PGCE with Information Technology specialisation.
Experience
Experience teaching IT/ICT and the ability to lead digital-learning strategy and practice across the school.
SACE requirement
SACE registration required.
